Brownie♥

                             200 g cukor
                             2 nagyobb tojás
vanília aroma (kihagyható vagy helyettesíthető más aromával is)
30 g keserű kakaópor (lehetőleg jó sötét legyen)
                             60 g liszt
A cukor miatt a vaj lehűl.

The Lorax

Ted Wiggins, an idealistic 12-year-old boy, lives in "Thneed-Ville", a walled city that, aside from the citizens, is completely artificial. He sets out to find the one thing that will win him the affection of Audrey, the girl of his dreams, who wishes to see a real tree. Ted's energetic grandmother suggests he speak with the Once-ler on the matter, and he discovers that their city has been closed off from the outside world, which is a contaminated and empty wasteland. The Once-ler agrees to tell Ted about the trees if he listens to his story over multiple visits. Ted agrees, even after the mayor of Thneed-Ville, Mr. O'Hare, who is also the greedy proprietor of a bottled oxygen company, confronts the boy and pressures him to stay in town.
Over the visits, the Once-ler recounts the story of how he met the Lorax, a grumpy yet charming creature who serves as guardian of the land he arrived in and actively resists his logging until the Once-ler agrees to desist. When the young businessman introduces a revolutionary invention from the native Truffula Tree's tufts, the thneed, it eventually becomes a major success and the Once-ler's family is brought in to participate in the business. Keeping his promise at first, Once-ler continues thneed production by harvesting the tufts themselves in a sustainable manner. Unfortunately, his greedy and lazy relatives convinced him to resume logging as a more efficient gathering method, and the destruction of the forest spirals into a mass overproduction. Flush with wealth, the Once-ler rationalized his short sighted greed into an arrogant self-righteousness that even co-opts the helpless protests of the Lorax for his own ends. As a result, he completely depleted the forest while making the region uninhabitable with his business' pollution. With that, the Once-ler was left ruined and abandoned by his family and became a recluse with the creation and isolation of Ted's town that came under Mr. O'Hare's control. Eventually, the Lorax sends the wildlife (and the Once-ler's mule) away before departing himself, leaving a stonecut word, "Unless."
At the end of the story, what began as Ted's desire to impress Audrey becomes an inspiration by the Once-ler's gift of the last Truffula Seed to plant it to remind his town of the importance of nature. Unfortunately, O'Hare is determined to not have trees undercut his business and takes heavy handed steps such as destroying Audrey's nature paintings and forcibly searching Ted's room for the seed. Ted is undeterred and enlists his family and Audrey to help plant the seed. O'Hare and his employees pursue the dissidents until they manage to elude him and reach the town center. Unfortunately, their attempt to plant the seed is interrupted by O'Hare who rallies the population to stop them. To convince them otherwise, Ted takes an earthmover and rams down a section of the city wall to reveal the environmental destruction outside. Horrified at the sight and inspired by Ted's conviction, the crowd defies O'Hare and the seed is planted. The trees start growing by the Once-ler's house and the Lorax and his friends come back. The Once-ler is happy that the Lorax came back and they both walk towards the Once-ler's house.

St. Patrick's Day

Saint Patrick's Day (Irish: Lá Fhéile Pádraig (The Festival of Patrick); Ulster-Scots: Saunt Petherick's Day) is a cultural and religious holiday celebrated on 17 March. It commemorates Saint Patrick, the most commonly recognised of the patron saints of Ireland, and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland.
The day is generally characterised by the attendance of church services, wearing of green attire and the lifting of Lenten restrictions on eating, and drinking alcohol, which is often proscribed during the rest of the season.

Szent Patrik napja (írül Lá ’le Pádraig vagy Lá Fhéile Pádraig) évente tartott ünnep Szent Patrik, Írország egyik védőszentje tiszteletére, az írek nemzeti ünnepe. Március 17-én tartják, azon a napon, melyen a hagyomány szerint Patrik meghalt.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

SPRING.:)

' No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow. '

"Springs is a beautiful season. It is really a season of flowers. Many kinds of flower bloom in Spring. Swarms of bees rush at them. They hum round the opening buds. They hum round the blooming petals. They loot the essence of flowers and make honey of it. Butterflies, too, to to the flowers and sit on them. They fly here and there about the flowers. Flowers of various colours dance in the vernal wind. Mango blossoms rise up on the mango trees. The cuckoo sits in the leafy twig and sings her melody. A light breeze blows from the south. It is the sweet south wind. It feels very pleasant. It carries to us smell of flowers and music of soils. Boys and Girls feel a kind of thrill. All are blithe and happy. Plants and animals look mirthful; so also the human beings. People do many kings of festivity. They sing and dance and make merry. Spring has roused high level poetic imagination in the minds of our poets. So, we find a lot of poetic works in our literatures."

Spring is my favourite season.:)♥

Cocoa and Chocolate♥

The tasty secret of the cacao (kah KOW) tree was discovered 2,000 years ago in the tropical rainforests of the Americas. The pods of this tree contain seeds that can be processed into chocolate. The story of how chocolate grew from a local Mesoamerican beverage into a global sweet encompasses many cultures and continents.

The first people known to have made chocolate were the ancient cultures of Mexico and Central America. These people, including the Maya and Aztec, mixed ground cacao seeds with various seasonings to make a spicy, frothy drink.

Later, the Spanish conquistadors brought the seeds back home to Spain, where new recipes were created. Eventually, and the drink’s popularity spread throughout Europe. Since then, new technologies and innovations have changed the texture and taste of chocolate, but it still remains one of the world’s favorite flavors.

History of Coffee

All great things in this world come from a mistake, it seems. And coffee is no exception. But the history of coffee is one that is full of twists and turns, some political, some down to happenstance, but all of them have contributed to your double espresso being what it is today.
The popular theory is that coffee was really ‘discovered’ by a sheep herder from Caffa Ethiopia.
Originally the coffee plant grew naturally in Ethopia, where the coffee bean would be wrapped in animal fat by the locals and used as sustenance on long hunting and raiding expeditions over a thousand years ago.
So how did coffee get out to America? Some say that Captain John Smith brought it with him when he founded the colony of Virginia at Jamestown. Not long after that time, in 1645, the first coffeehouse opened in Italy, followed by one in England some seven years later. From that point, coffee was unstoppable. Within six years, coffee had replaced beer as New York’s City’s favorite breakfast drink. Within another ten, Edward Lloyd’s coffeehouse in England makes such good money, and does so well at attracting wealthy merchants and maritime insurance agents, that it becomes Lloyd’s of London, the best-known and one of the most profitable insurance companies in history.
